A horses head is full of all the things that are important to his survival; the desire to graze, being part of a group, being able to flee should he feel threatened, the freedom to react and respond to situations, play, relationships.
This has an effect on how he gets along in the work we use him for. Understanding how the horse sees the world and how he perceives what we ask of him is essential to developing a successful relationship, getting the best from him, and achieving your goals.
I can teach you to how to interpret your horses body language, behaviour, and emotions, so you can understand why he does the things he does, enabling you to communicate effectively.

An in depth assessment to evaluate behavioural difficulties, determine the cause, why it continues, and how it is reinforced. To successfully resolve issues it is crucial to work on the underlying cause of the behaviour, rather than the symptoms, which is the part you actually see.
All assessments are by vet referral to check the problems you are experiencing are not medical. If there is a medical issue I work alongside the vet to compliment any treatment programme he may have. A report is prepared for both the owner and vet following an assessment.
If you wish to be referred to me your vet will need to check there are no medical reasons for your horse's behaviour, and return a completed referral form.
